Dance Classes Summer Social 


Well we have not had the sunniest of times this summer, but there were enough sunny, sunshiney smiles last night at our summer social (corny but true!)

This was a gathering of our classes together for a bit of fun, the Knaresbrough and Horsforth beginners and intermediate classes and two special guests, Betty Thomson and Jo Hirons. Bev has made these evenings into great socials for us, as well as group and solo performance evenings and a good old bellydance boogie for us all. The hidden agenda here being that while we are all enjoying ourselves we are also gaining confidence to perform in groups or doing our own solos. (clever eh?)

Betty and Jo danced for us, always so good to see the experts. It was great, but also really inspiring when people who may have never performed solo before actually stand up and do their thing, its really good seeing people growing in confidence as well as becoming better dancers. Lots of nice nibbles and drinks and we even managed to get broken-legged Marie upstairs to join us. Sadly I did not get enough photos of everyone but here a a few (apologies to those people I missed)
