Dance Workshops with Ozgen,  Drum Workshop with Hassan

for dancers and drummers of all levels

at the Yorkshire Dance Centre

Ozgen performes and teaches all styles of Turkish dance. He is  Turkish born and now lives in London. His website is www.dance-show.biz@hotmail.co.uk

Dance Workshop 10.00am-12.15pm  Turkish Harem style with veil. Cost £14.00

This workshop teaches the most common steps and attitude in Turkish bellydancing. The story of a girl entering the harem to face the Sultan. Lots of exotic moves and travelling steps. Veil needed.

Dance Workshop 12.45pm - 3.00pm.  Halay - Gypsy dance. Cost £14.00

Turkish line dancing workshop includes understanding the flock step ( This has a similar feel to Saiidi with Oriental mix). Also introduction to Romany Gypsy dance using 9/8 rhythm, sometimes called Karsilama ( cheerful attitude and jumpy steps. Full skirt useful but not essential.

Drum Workshop (Darbuka/Tabla) Open level - 3.30pm - 5.00pm with Hassan  Errajji. Cost £10.00
